s1lence (2003)
The success of a project often depends on timing. Unfortunately, my short film »s1lence« (2003), about the hapless nerd Michi Schmidt and his dreams, didn’t get much attention because terms like ‘Nerd’, ‘8-bit’, and ›Drones’ weren’t popular yet. Now, with the surge of interest in tech culture, »s1lence« might appeal to viewers as it showcases the early years of tech’s influence, including the first appearance of Lisa Arnold from my Thriller »Escape« and the talking cell phone »Phil.«
Welcome, Folks!
I've finally managed to update my page amidst a busy period and I'm currently focused on revising my latest project, 'The Mark.' Excitingly, my short film 's1lence' was showcased at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, and I'm deeply grateful to Lukas with the opportunity from Lukas Jötten and his invaluable support; you can check out his inspiring work at [Sonderfilm](http://sonderfilm.de). An interesting anecdote from making 's1lence' is that I had to cut up my sofa bed to create a stunt and the stunt mat, highlighting the dedication and resourcefulness required in filmmaking.
