Welcome, Folks!
Finally, I found some time to update my page. It’s been quite a busy period, but I managed to squeeze in a few updates. I'm currently immersed in the revision of ›»The Mark«' my latest project. The process has been both challenging and rewarding, as I strive to refine the story and bring out its full potential. Each revision brings me closer to the vision I have for this piece, and I'm excited for the moment I can share it with everyone.
On a more exciting note, on Friday, my short film »s1lence« was showcased at the prestigious Oberhausen International Short Film Festival. It was an incredible experience to see my work on the big screen and to receive feedback from such a knowledgeable audience. I am deeply grateful to Lukas Jötten in charge of the event for the opportunity. His support and encouragement have been invaluable. For those interested in film and the art of storytelling, I highly recommend visiting his site: http://sonderfilm.de. His work is inspiring and offers a unique perspective on the craft of filmmaking.
One of my favorite lines from »s1lence« is: "That's too big for you, kid!" This line resonates with me because it captures the, whimsical nature of the film. It's a enough reminder of the humor and heart that I aimed to infuse into the story.
As a fun anecdote, I had to cut up my sofa bed to create a stunt mat for the film. It was a makeshift solution, but it worked perfectly for our needs. This got me thinking about the lengths filmmakers go to for their projects. Did George Lucas have to do the same thing for »Star Wars«? It’s amusing to imagine the legendary director slicing up furniture for the sake of a perfect shot. The dedication and resourcefulness of filmmakers, whether working on a short film or a blockbuster, is truly remarkable.
