Searching for a Publisher

I browse the internet for publishers and agents, hoping to find someone who will appreciate my labor of love, »The Mark.« This process leads me to stumble across various authors' pages and their readings. Whenever I encounter a piece of writing that makes me think, »Wow - he writes like me,« it’s always an Anglo-Saxon author. Is this a good sign? I’m not sure. Perhaps it’s just my ego talking.

I've set a goal: 30 publishers and 30 agents. That’s my limit. And after that? I’ll keep going, of course. So, to everyone out there, no matter what you’re striving for, don’t give up! I won’t either.

One of my favorite lines is from the movie Dead Poets Society: »Carpe Diem!« This phrase has always inspired me to seize the day and make the most of every moment.

A little reminder from my past: in 1991, I had had a collision with a person from the Canadian Filmboard office while he was carrying film cans. and then wanted I spoke with a German filmmaker, who gave me some invaluable advice: you have to find your own style. Those words have stuck with me and continue to guide my journey as a writer and filmmaker.

So, here’s to finding our unique paths, embracing our styles, and never giving up on our dreams!
